On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, I had the privilege to sit down and chat with the ladies at the Clinic. As a graduate student on campus, I was curious to learn more about them on a personal level. After all, I wanted to know "who" I had to see about a cold. I found Nurse Johns and Mrs. Williams to be two interesting, energetic and dedicated women. I enjoyed our little chat.

Linda Johns, RN, BS is the newly appointed Assistant Director of the Clinic. She has over 40 years of nursing eperience under her belt. She has spent 37 years of that time, working in college healthcare. Nurse Johns has been married for forty years. She resides in Grayson, GA and has two sons. She is also a proud grandmother (she has lots of pictures) of a four year old grandson, Mason.
Most of Nurse Johns weekends are spent enjoying a good book. During my interview with her, I was pleased to learn she enjoys antiquing and decorating. When asked the question: If you had to chose another job what would you do? She responded by saying, "I would become a teacher. I enjoy seeing the expression on someone's face when they say, OH I get it"
Mrs. Williams is the Administrative Assistant for the Clinic. Although she takes her position seriously, she is a very funny woman! When asked: How long have you been married? She responded by saying, "over 900 years!" She has two daughters and two sons. She is also the proud grandmother (she has a lot of pictures, too) of a nine year old grandson, Adrian.
Most of Mrs. Williams weekends are spent bowling, swimming, and cooking. During my interview with her, I also learned that she is very involved in her Church. She also feeds homeless people in downtown Atlanta at the Pinestreet Mission. When asked the question: If you had to chose another job what would you do? She responded by saying, "I would love to be a nurse!"
